Welcome Kev! Im also new in the forum. And I found lots of friendly, knowledgeable, experienced, orchidolic, helpful members in the forum. Have fun.
As previously stated by Dave and others, place the cymb outside summer and, comes fall/winter bring them indoor with a brightlight. I think the temp shock will initiate flowering. Im starting mine this year.

Thanks for the kind welcome. I think I am growing a compact type cymbidium, perhaps a chinese species is in its genes somewhere according to smartie.
