mimimax - That Dendrobium was obviously one of the soft cane Dendrobiums that need a cool/cold dry winter rest in order to bloom, please do not try that with the typical commercial Phalaenopsis type Dendrobiums, they will not survive.

what is a phalaenopsis type dendrobium. i hate phal orchids but a phal dendrobium sound cool. phals don't intrest me. there blooms or beautiful but i like orchids with a complex plan structure and growth habbit for when the plant is not in bloom

that's cool and it's ever green like my aggragacum. i'm going to get one. are they slow growers? i have a kinganium and it grows like crazy.

jeemq32 - The link was to the species for reference of what the Den phalaenopsis type flowers look like. Many of the large flowered Dens that you see everywhere for sale are phal type Dens. They are easy to grow and grow quickly and rebloom for several years from old and new growth.
