Default ¡Hola! New member from the Caribbean...

Hi,

I just posted a question in the Newbies forum, but thought I might get more traffic if I stop by and introduce myself first.

I am a Walmart/Supermercado buyer of orchidea, but am lucky enough to live where I can just stick them on trees in the yard and let them fend for themselves.

My question is about the best time to buy, and where to buy lady slippers for my father who still lives in MPLS. So, if you know anything about Cypripedium reginae please share your knowledge!

Gracias,

Kristine

Hello and welcome.
Sorry I don't know much about the hardy orchids but someone with experience should be along shortly.

Welcome to Orchid Board

I'm not sure there is a best time to buy, they tend to flower at whatever time the fans mature, although I do have 3 of them spiking now for me.

I can't help with where I'm afraid as my UK suppliers probably can't ship out to your father. Hope someone can help with that soon.

A big welcome to you, Lagringaloca, and congrats on a lovely bloom! Must be great to grow your orchids outdoors.
