Welcome DW. We love to look at pictures. Do you have any of your garden? Barb

Barb, I only have a few in the Gallery. My inside garden is now like my outside garden - in deconstruction. Most of my catts have gone outside for the summer, until the back yard is renovation displaces them. ~DW

Re: So,......you wanna cook!
Dave,
That does sound good. Maybe we'll have to make "OscarMan's recipe of the week" section
I made chicken satay before, but never from chicken breast and different recipe all together. I always used deboned chicken thighs I'll try to do this on the weekend. Although, looks like a trip to Asian market will be a must... Don't have Fish Sauce and Sambal Olek.
Thanks, I'll let you know how it went.
Marty
EDIT: It went great. Satays were delicious ! Good recipe. I even snapped a picture...Wife thought, it was a bit weird, hehe. I went with chicken thighs. I'll try breast meat next time. Made the coconut rice too. A+ for the recipe

Thanks Marty,
Did you soak your skewers? They are looking a little charred....oops, sorry, that's the Executive Chef in me coming out! I won't go all Hell's Kitchen on you. Those are great pictures, now I'm hungry.

Re: So,......you wanna cook!
ehehe... go Hell's Kitchen on me, that's how we learn
Yes I did. These were soaking for about 2 hrs actually. They skewers were really thin, that's probably why. I was even trying to protect them on the grill with 2 strips of alluminum foil, to keep them away from direct heat....they still charred though. I should have used my metal ones or the really thick ones, but I didn't have any.
Of course, have I used smaller/thinner pieces or white meat from the chicken breast I wouldn't have to keep it on the grill for that long.
I'm looking at getting something like these, might have to get them off th e net though as I haven't seen them locally:
