Black Orchid - I normally just do a foliar spray with a systemic fungicde, it would not hurt to do a drench of the whole plant, pot and all but in my opinion it is over kill and not nescessary. If it were an insect issue, sure I would suggest that you drench the plant but a fungal infection starts out topically and eventually makes its way into the circulatory system so you would need a fungicide that will do the same, which is what a systemic fungicide does, it is absorbed both by the plant and its roots into the circulatory system.

Welcome and Hello! I am glad you found us.
First of: we need to know your grow zone or your location in Canada to be able to better help you to acurately advice on growing your orchids.
Glen is right the spots on your leaf might be mechanical damage then your plant is healing itself by dying out the wounded area like a scab in a wound. I may also be a bug bite and the saliva have created a fungal infestation. To be sure, do the cinammon paste or go to the supermarket and get the extract along in the aisle of vanilla and almond extracts....you will find the cinammon extract(you can also use this with soap to spray on bugs)
Flush the roots with lots of water. that tip of the leaf is a sign that theres crystals from fertilizer deposit on the roots...in order to bloom the orchid faster, growers tend to use chemicals to grow roots and leaves bigger and faster & gain energy for the plant to spike and bloom...just dab the crown with tissue make sure it is dry to avoid crown rot
