Red face I am new here!

I have always had a love for orchids and I am now starting to dabble in them. (However I think they are already taking over my train of thought!) I think about them a lot! Maybe getting obsessive! I like to try and rescue them from big box stores and we just had a shop open in Green Bay! I enjoy buying them without flowers and trying to get them to spike for me. It feels so rewarding when they bloom! My next endeavor is going to be trying to wall mount a phal that I rescued from HD with some root rot. Its leaves still look pretty good so why not!

You've come to the right place if you want to fuel your orchid obsession even more! If you hang around here long enough you'll also get obsessed with OB! What kinds of orchids do you have? And feel free to post some pics of your chids, we love photos here.
I agree, it does feel really great to rebloom orchids. Orchids are a drug and we get high on them.

Welcome and Hello!
It would be nice to give us your growing zone or your location in the USA so we can acurately advice you.
mounting phals while in root rot is a bit challenging to do...make sure that it is recovering from root rot; growing new roots and then you can repot or mount it...

I have 4 home depot noid phals and have recently purchased some Catts and just got a oncidium i think it is called panther. I will have to check tomorrow for sure. My phal that I want to wall mount that is recovering from root rot is doing quite well. What do you recommend mounting it on? Do I then mist the roots? How often? I live in Green Bay, WI so that means I grow mostly indoors. Thanks for all of your input! This is great to talk to other orchiders!
