Talking New Member

Greetings from a new member. I'm so pleased to have discovered this site as it looks to be a great resource. I'm a retired senior, living in coastal British Columbia, and have been growing orchids for 22 years. I have a small sunroom with about 110 plants, growing intermediate to warm, and am interested in most genera other than botanicals. I TRY to stay with smaller varieties but some of the big ones are so lovely! I'm still experimenting, hoping to happen on that special plant that almost noone else has. What a dream!

Shirley

Welcome Shirley! Wow! Sounds like you got a great collection - 110 plants!! And lots of experiences to share with us from 22 years experience...

You will love it here, there is so much information, and everyone is super friendly. I am sure you will come across a number of plants that you will add to your wish list!! (I know my collection has pretty much doubled because of orchids I've seen mentioned on here! LOL!)

I hope you have some photos of your orchids that you can post - we LOVE photos!

Thanks so much for the welcoming messages I've received. I'm really looking forward to participation in OB. Since several have asked for photos, I've posted just a few of my favorites in the gallery to get started. I hope you like them!
