Woo Hoo!! It sounds like you are well on your way to orchid addiction like the rest of us!

I love your first Phal. The flowers are described as peloric (which just means that the petals -the two on either side of the lip- try to look like the lip. I love this trait! It makes the flowers so interesting.

I'm glad to hear that your rescue plant is recovering nicely. Well done!

Aboard its great that you have made yourself right at home. So many of us have rescued a chid along the way. The tears and spots on the phal leaves are of no danger to the orchid at all, just a bit different in appearance. When they ship these guys from the vendor they sometimes get damaged along the way (packing ignorance) as well as those big semi-trucks can shift a load or merely the unpacking of the orchid when placed on the plant table. Your rescue is a beauty, enjoy the blooms.

Hello Everyone!
I wanted to thank you all for your helpful suggestions and to give an update in case anyone was interested in how my "Home Depot Rescue" is doing now. So it started to recover about a month ago and when I saw the new root growth I tranferred it to semi-hydroponics and it's really thriving now! YAY!!!
Here are some pics
