I joined Orchid Board to learn. Just over a year ago I purchased and begin to care for my first orchids. Now I have ten. All were in bloom when purchased (of course). Two have since been re-potted, following blooming and dormancy. They have not yet bloomed again. Two more recently ceased to bloom and appear to be in need of repotting. I plan on doing the re-potting tomorrow. And tips would be welcome. BobM

Welcome to Orchid Board Bob

Do you know what sort of orchids you have. Care for orchids varies a lot depending on the type.

If you are not sure then try posting some pictures and we should be able to help. (See the link in my signature below for help on posting pictures).

Welcome aboard! You've come to the right place for answers, thoughts and opinions.

Rosie is correct. Each type of orchid requires a different type of care, and the range can even vary depending upon the species of that particular type.

Full names would help tremendously, i.e. Psychopsis Mendenhall, Trichoglottis gemmata, etc... (last one was made up just to give you an idea).

Welcome and Hello ! Sit back and relax, read postings of some of the senior members who can give you knowledge of their past experieces and their advice is priceless. Please post pictures of your orchids so we can help you better...I cannot advice you on repotting unless I know what type of orchid you have...repotting can be in clay or plastic or glass...it can be also mounted...or on S/H method
you can use media: moss, bark, lava rock, charcoal or a mixture of each and everything
