Default new to orchids :)

Hello everyone,

My name is April and I am in San Diego, CA. I just recently became interested in growing orchids, I have always liked gardening. Anyways I have a bunch of questions about 2 plants I got at local grocery stores, and I have some pretty cool ideas I want to put to use but I need advice. So im gonna do some reading here this weekend and hopefully that will answer some of my questions.

-April

Hi April,
Welcome to OB. I've had to try posting a couple pics over again. Don't know why but they posted the second time around. If at first you don't succeed, try try again.
PS Every orchid lover is wanted.

Lorraine

NO! Admins are not doing this. Somethings wrong. There is a section with hints for setting up a gallery (you have a free gallery if you didn't know this - just look to the left of the screen at "gallery" and set up one.) Then when you snaps are in your gallery, just click on each photo you want to appear in your post, scroll down to bottom of page where it says "linked thumbnail", click on "copy it" then go to your message and paste it. For Windows this is <Ctrl><V>. Hope this helps. And welcome. Bear with us... there's a huge amount of stuff here - too much to ignore. We'll help you get up and running like a master - promise

And I promise - You are wanted!

You are most definitely wanted!!

They weren't deleted.... they were moved! I think it was my fault, as I saw that no one had responded, so I asked if they could be transferred over to where more people could see them and respond to your questions. They are in 'Beginner's Discussion' - you'll find them there!

Whew! Thanks Shakkai for taking care of this. I hate for newcomers to get some sort of complex right off - there will be plenty of ops later on Seriously, we love newcomers here.

Evoapril, this is the friendliest place I know of!! Sorry for any confusion!

Everyone here loves to help out and answer questions - and EVERYONE is welcome. We are always happy to see new faces around.

You posted some excellent photos showing what your questions were about... it seemed a shame that it got buried (that can happen quite quickly in the 'Break the Ice' section).

For reference, here's a link to the other thread:

Hope the answers were helpful!
