Hello! Obviously, I am new. Glad to be here
Hi everyone.
I am relatively new to orchid motherhood but I already have 15 orchids! It all started with one innocent little plant I gave to my fiancé as a gift. I quickly became addicted when we moved in together. Our friends now refer to me as the crazy orchid lady.
I'm surprised it took me so long to join a forum with all the questions I have.
I bow down too all of your expertise

Thank you!!! Nice to meetcha!
I seem to do okay with orchids (for a beginner). I can't keep mint or basil alive to save my life but so far I can get orchids to bloom over and over... Sort of. There are a couple types I can't get to bloom yet but that's why I am here!

Welcome to Orchid Board! You are going to enjoy your stay with us fellow addicts! One little word of advice to any new orchids grower, just admit you are helplessly addicted to orchids, there is no cure, so you might as well go buy some more! LOL!

I am loving the warm welcome!!!
I have three orchids right now that have flower spikes but they haven't opened yet. I'll take pics when the light is better.
I guess I came to the right place. I'm also a picture-taking addict.

Welcome Amber, like the others have said already, you have found the right place. So, tell us more, what genera do you grow and which would you like to grow?

Let's see...
I have 6 Phalaenopsis
2 Cymbidiums. It was originally one plant someone gave me a couple years ago. I have yet to get that one to bloom again.
And 7 others I am not sure how to identify yet. One of those will bloom soon so I can show pictures of it because I'm sure one of you will know.

YAY! Another phal addict! If I had to chose one single genus to grow, it would be Phalaenopsis! Thankfully, I don't have to make that choice, so I grow what I can grow!

Amber,
Go ahead and post picture anyway. Most of us will at least be able to tell you what genera they are, which will give you a better idea as to how to grow them.
