Greetings from Maryland! I just purchased my first Orchid, a Phalaenopsis 3 weeks ago. I bought 4 of them at our local Lowes. Since then I have been reading everything I can on the care of these beauties! I went back yesterday and purchased 3 more that were on sale with no flowers, in rough condition and in need of some desperate love. Seems like when they stop flowering they are discarded on the sale rack and ignored. One has a split down the middle of its leaves and the other 2 have wrinkles on their leaves and just look very tired. So today I will be repotting these rescues. Thank you all for being here and sharing such a wealth of information!
