Hi, this is me! =) Female
Smile Hi, this is me! =)

Hi everyone, my name is Åsa and I come from Sweden. Guess what? I'm addicted to orchids! (I bet you didn't se that one comming )

My first plant was a phalaenopsis hybrid four years ago. Well, that one is still alive and it's got company with another 50-60 orchids by now (how did that happen? ). I have two vivariums, one live and kicking for one year back and the second in progress (they are getting bigger and bigger too those vivariums ). My friends always wonders where the snakes and frogs are when they visit me and when I tell them there's only orchids there they look strangely at me...

I love the Ascocentrums, but also have some phalaenopsis, coelogyne, dendrobiums, chilochista....

Hi there Asa, it's wonderful to have you here.
There nothing wrong with being addicted to 'chids, I think it's a sickness not to be. We don't want people talking about us, do we?

I don't have any snakes but I do have a few tree frogs, their cute and they don't talk back.

Would love to see some photos' of ur set -ups if you have them.
Welcome aboard, hope you enjoy the forum

Åsa, Welcome to the Orchid Board! I hope you participate in our terrarium forum. There are lots of members here that like growing orchids in enclosures or in vivaria with animals as companions. I do it too! I've got 4 vivs, and 1 in progress.

We need to share experiences and the types of orchids you grow in your vivs.

Hi Asa Welcome to Orchidboard

Aren't they sneaky? You buy just one and next thing you know, you're surrounded!

Souond like you've got quite a collection going there...we'd love to see some pictures. Most of us here at OB are also addicted to Orchid Pictures...and Orchidboard too

If you have any questions, let us know

Welcome Åsa !! Always good to see another face from 'this side' of the ocean! I used to think that orchids multiplied themselves like rabbits - where there was 1 there is now 10, then 20, then 50!!

I'm sure you'll enjoy Orchid Board. Can't wait to see some photos of your vivariums - including the in-progess one!

Thank you for the very warm welcoming! Feels like I'm in the right place!

If I remember I'll post a picture of my vivarium/orchidarium when I get home from work today, if that's ok with you?

Hello Asa, welcome to the OB. Don't worry, if growing orchids is a sickness, you've come to the right institution. You'll fit right in!
