Default Hi Everyone!
My name is Joe and I am addicted to slipper orchids (almost 7 years now). I am currently about to start my senior year in high school and plan to get a doctorate in botany after high school. I started with Cyps, then got into Paphs, and finally Phrags. Currently I am concentrating on my parvi collection (both species and hybrids). I really want to get into Mexis and Selenis though! I've been into plants my whole life and am very passionate about them. I look forward to meeting some people on these boards who share my interests!

You have some excellent pictures of slippers in your album - looks like you have some great experiences to share with us!

I see you are in Edmonton - me too, as are TeresaE, Smartie2000 and many others.

Are you a member of the Orchid Society of Alberta? You should definitely check us out. The meetings are the 3rd Sunday of each month. We start a new year of meetings on September 16, there are no meetings July/August.
