Hello everyone and their orchids!

My name is Tanya and I am a Canadian living in the Netherlands.

I have recently received my first orchid as a gift from a colleague when I had to leave my former job. I want to have this orchid with me for some time, since it obviously has some sentimental value, so that is why I am here - to learn how to best care for it

What sort of orchid is it, do you know? If not then post a picture and we should be able to tell at least enough to help you give it the right care.
