Smile Found my orchid in a dumpster

Yup, that's right, on Mother's Day no less!!! Anyhow, I'll be honest, I've never been a "plant person"... and wouldn't be now, but maybe its the whole rescue thing...I don't know, but now I find myself moving the orchid around to get more/less sunlight, researching the water quality levels of my city, joining chat boards to learn how to take care of him....etc...etc..oh, and by the way, its a boy, his name is Oscar, now see there I go again, the whole attachment thing....

But seriously, I know as much about orchids as I do about 18th century Russian poets, but I do want to learn and think this is a great place to start. As for myself....I am a nurse, as if you can't tell, and I am into University of Michigan Ball, as if you also couldn't tell...anyways, I think this seems to be a pretty cool site.., so I hope to get some good conversation and information!!

Thanks for the read.

Angela
