Default Hello everyone!

Hi there! I just got hit by the "orchid bug" and moved to Austin from Odessa (a "city" of about 100,000 in West Texas) two months or so ago. I've got a collection of three orchids that I got from large commercial operations and which I recently repotted from different media- some moss, one from I think coconut husks- to bark or bark/perlite/bits of moss mixes. I have no idea what they are, but I'll post the pics up and ask.

In the meantime,

Oh, I tried to upload pics, but I'm not sure if it worked. This board either doesn't like Flickr, or I have to wait, or I haven't put the URL in correctly. I'm not sure. I did put the pics up in the identification help sub-forum, so I'll see if that will work.

And you are right about the bug being something that doesn't go away. I've had to be very careful about going to nurseries. Otherwise I know I'll come back out with at least one plant!

Welcome to Orchid Board

A lot of our folks use flickr so it should work. Take a look at the link in my signature about posting pics. There is a lot of info there about different ways to do it, but I use flickr as an example of how to post using a link to an external site hosting your photos.

Hi Crazymonkie,

I've just seen your posts with the pictures. The problem is that you have posted a webpage as an image. This is the most common mistake when posting picks.

Take a look at my help thread about pictures. This link jumps straight to the part where I try and explain about this problem and what you need to do different. I use flickr as an example so hopefully it will make sense.
