Intro....
Well, I guess now that I've stumbled around the sight a little, now would be a good time for an introduction. My name is Jasen, I live on the central, east coast of Florida. I have only been collecting orchids for about 10 months, but I have grown a variety of things prior to them. However, just like most of you I'm sure, orchids have captured most of my interests. I presently have about 70 species which are doing pretty good so far. Luckily, I've got a natural greenthumb and I've done some side work for a professional orchid grower. So I've been fortunate enough to learn some of the secrets early off without the years of trial and error. He mentors me with anything I need to know and gives me good deals on nice plants. For now, my back screened porch has been turned into a semi-climate controlled terrarium, but I am getting ready to build an 800 sq. ft. greenhouse in about a month or two. I plan on getting into flasking and the whole nine yards. Got about 15 seed pods swelling right now, can,t wait!
I like any orchid that commands attention (I know, that's just about all of them), but I really love the ones that make you stand back and say,"How in the hell did nature do that?" You know, the eye-catchers.I am on a mission in search of Epi. annelie wan, so if anyone knows where to locate one, please let me know. See ya in the OB!

Hi Jasen...you have found the right place!!!
It's wonderful to have a mentor in addition to having the natural green thumb! What a great combo
I look ofrward to seeing you around the board, I'm sure with all of your interests you'll have plenty to contribute.
If you have any questions, please let us know...and it's nice to have you with us in the upcoming OB Project 4

Hi Jasen,
Welcome to the OB! Glad you joined!
What crosses did you make? I'd really love to hear your experiences with flasking when you do attempt it!
