Hello from Tennessee
Default Hello from Tennessee

I'm Susan from East Tennessee, USA. I've enjoyed growing plants for many years, from Cactus and Succulents to Tropicals, Citrus, and oddball plants.
I consider myself a newbie to Orchids, I've grown a few, like Dichaea glauca and Vanilla for several years, and I'm slowly expanding my collection.
Nice to meet you all, and looking forward to learning a lot!

Welcome. It sure is a lot of fun here. I think you can learn a lot. I mainly grow Vancaceous orchids myself.
I have 7 in total, 3 big ones and 4 seedlings and 2 flasks with small babies.

Hi Willeke,
I've been thinking of trying some of the Vandas, I have a greenhouse and it gets very hot in there, they like it warm, I think??
Oh yes, Jenny- any odd or unusual plant, I love it! People want to visit my greenhouse and expect to see flowers, I like to see their faces when they look at my plants, no longer any interest!

Hallo Susan, If you have a greenhouse they sure would do fine. I grow them in my windowsill, and if the weather is fine outside. So it can only be better in a greenhouse.
