Hi Again White Rabbit, Cyms are definitely on the wish list. I see a cat on your posts an figure you will understand that my kitties are now jealous of the time I spend with my orchids. So I need to limit the acquisitions and take time to pet the kitties.

awww - my kitty, Jack, likes to 'help' me when I am taking care of the inside plants - of course, his idea of helping is to ask to be picked up, so he can see what's going on - or when I have plants at the sink for watering, he gets up on the counter to supervise

I grow Cym outside in warmer months (they are out there now) and in a cool greenhouse over the winter (just need to keep frosts off them). You can also grow Cyps in the garden year round here in the UK, those actually LIKE the frost/snow.
Most of my Dens and Oncs will also go out during the daytime soon, and will start spending the nights in the greenhouse.
So if you pick the right types you CAN grow outside even here

I guess I was thinking more of the type of growing we see from some of OB's South American and some North American members (i.e. growing in situ on walls and trees - now that, for me, would be amazing)

Too cute! I'm glad he's making sure you water properly.

Yeah, I agree. I would love if we could do that!

Hi Rosie, Thanks for the welcome. Everyone has been so helpful and there is so much great information already posted. I've completely lost track of time reading old threads. Rosalie

I know! I'm sure I would mess it up badly without his supervision!
