Default Greetings from yet another Newbie

I have to admit to not knowing much about the botanical or technical jargun of growing Orchids! but the love for them and some blatant beginners luck I have much of the former and some of the latter. Otherwords I have had some happy experiences with a few, over the years and I can't explain why? It will be very nice to find out what it was I did right and what I could have done better. I will be glad for every morsal of information that I will recieve and the friendships that will grow out of this meager beginning. Thanks to anyone who takes me under their wing, or has a few tips that will head me in the right direction... Bobbi Jo

Hi Bobbi Jo

Hope you like it here as much as I do. Lots of questions are asked and so many helpful answers. And pictures to die for. Better get a "Wish List" started because it really helps when you see something you might want to check out later and then can't remember the name

Default Thanx for the warm welcome all!

...

First off my name has no E's in it. It is Bobbi Jo Dimnutive of my given name Barbara Joann! and I have went by Bobbi Jo since a child in 1950"s
I would like to make friends with everybody here, and post just as many pictures. ???
But at this point I'm wondering how to post an Avatar when I have no pictures of my own...and where I could get one that wouldn't be stealing somebody else's ?
I want to do things right and not get off on the wrong foot. So I guess I could use some help!
All I have right now is one half dead Den. that was given to me without a name or pot in a zip-lock bag? and I will have to plant it soon? It is still alive but is a sad looking stepchild. :-(
My 3 storebought... 2 Den's: One 3.5"X4" White with beautiful orchid pico edge markings with dark orchid lip it stands 21" from soil line. One with 3"X3" pale yellow blooms with self lips edged in bright yellow, the blooms open a light green it stands 10" from soil line. Then one 'Orchid Intergeneric 3"x2.5 mottled Bi?Tri? color that is rose/maroon? this one was a birthday gift which I have had since 3/23/11 ... I was Looking through site and found this ones identity [ Beallara Diana Dunn 'Mendenhall' ] Yay!
Other than the one in the zip-lock,they are all heavily in bloom, with more blooms coming on. I have them on the window ledge of a pair of East/South facing garden windows...backed up by my other love Bonsai plants.
I guess thats it for now.

In other words, welcome to OB! I started out as a total newbie 2 years ago and I have learned most of what I know here on OB. I like this better than facebook.
Once you figure out how to post pictures we would love to see some.
Where are you in the US?
