Ohay! Budding Orchid Enthusiast from the Sunshine State.
Hey!
So, I was lurking around the boards as a guest for a good part of the day, and I eventually decided to join. I'm a spankin' new Orchid enthusiast--they are, without a doubt, my favorite plant / flower (other than my very first, which is a cactus that I can post pictures of in bloom, too). I got my first Orchid about a year ago, and, to my surprise, it's still going strong. I do think, however, that it's about time I repotted the poor thing. It just recently finished blooming for the first time in my care--aside from its original bloom when I got it from Lowes--and is starting to look a teensy bit droopy.
Anyway, I have two other Orchids now--got them yesterday at Lukas Nursery--to sit alongside it and my glass fish in my bedroom window. One of them is a Phalaenopsis (pale yellow with purple pinstripes), I believe; however, I have no idea what my very first and the second that I purchased yesterday are. I'll post pictures of those two in the Identification board soon to see if you guys have any ideas.
This place looks really legit, so I think I'll stick around and polish up my Orchid-hobby skills. :}
