Default Beginner grower in West Virginia

Howdy y'all!

I have 2 miniature orchids ordered, 2 cattleyas ordered a bid in on a 3rd, and seeds for 5 US natives ordered as well.

The miniatures:
Dendrobium peguanum (in bud/spike)
Haraella retrocalla (mature)

The cattleyas:
Blc. Memoria Anna Balmores 'Convex'
C. Bactia ‘Grape Wax’ AM/AOS
Blc. Hawaiian Passion 'Carmela' (bidding on this one)

The natives:
Cypripedium acaule
Epipactis helleborine
Corallorhiza maculata
Cypripedium acaule alba
Cypripedium parviflorum var. pubescens

I don't know that I'll have any luck with the seeds, but figured that I'd at least give it a shot. And apparently when I start something I go all out!

Welcome to Orchid Board

Take a look at our propergation area for advice about the seeds. They have to be sown in a sterile enviroment in a flask so it's a good idea to read up n the technique.

Welcome to OB! You sound a lot like me- jump in with both feet and sink or swim. I was a complete newbie 2 years ago. You will be amazed at what you can learn here and at how friendly people are.
