New to terrestrial plants and epiphytic plants
Default New to terrestrial plants and epiphytic plants

Hello!

I am currently a proud owner of a $5 orchid from wal-mart that I have no clue as to what species or even genus it is in. I am not new to keeping plants, however, most of mine are aquatic. I keep aquariums and have am trying my hand at growing aquarium plants emersed. If you are on any aquarium forums you will find me over at plantedtank.net.

I am only 14 years old and my parents and I are moving to Kauai. I hope to join the botanical gardens there simply because I love all plants. I am trying to get rid of most the plants I have right now sadly simply because it is hard to take them with you when you move across the pacific ocean. I am just trying to learn, observe and hopefully eventually, have my own screened orchid growing house. I do not want to be limited to just orchids though, I want to keep any and all plants because they all appeal to me, however orchids are one of the coolest plants out there.

I hope you can put up with all my stupid questions

Caton
