from Amarillo, TX
Hi~~
I am from Amarillo, TX--middle of the Panhandle. Semi-arid. I bought a few plants from an orchid house in Colorado SPs. They were all resting & I bought each one for $4. It is a nice selection. I repoptted & followed the orchid buyers guidelines.
I has been nice to see them grow & bloom.--Cats, Debdrobiums, phals, paphs.
I am afraid that I have been bit by the "orchid bud" & now (shamelessly) will go to the nearby Lowes & ask for the plants that have already flowered at a reduced rate. So far, so good.
I am looking forward to meeting all y'all & learning about these marvelous intriging plants.
Take care~~

Hi!
I am from the panhandle of Texas...Canyon, your neighbor to the south. I started growing orchids while my spouse and I were living in Lubbock (even have a Pleuro. grobyii that I bought way back then (mid '90s) that is blooming like mad now in my little gh). After my spousal unit graduated (one guess...), we moved to Waco. So glad you joined the ob. I have learned quite a bit and had many folks cheer me on in my triumphs and pat my back when I have been visited by the black mushy death . It's a great place to connect.
Good growing to you!
