Vmax--Canyon, WTAMU I reckon or was it still WTSU when you were there? Do you know if there is an orchid society in the Panhandle?

There wasn't one when I lived in Canyon, but that was back in the nineties. You might check with the garden center near Baptist/St. Anthony's hospital...or at least, there used to be a garden center out there! They would have a listing of an active orchid society, if the society registered with the city. Another place to look would be the AOS website, but that's only if the club is AOS affiliated. If all else fails, start your own!! I met a lot of folks at that garden center back then that were successfully raising orchids. At the time, I was a student (yes, @ WTAMU) and doing undergraduate research in what used to be the Amarillo Cancer Center...very little time to play, back then I know there are folks around there! And, you now have OB!

VMav, I have contacted the Botanical gardens & have a "date" with the orchid caretaker. I'm looking forward to it very much. Amarillo Cancer center is now Harrington CA Center.
