Making My First Post
Hello all, I'm Daniel. I live in Central Florida and have been actively growing orchids for little over a year. I've been gardening for a while longer.
I'm not sure I can remember what got me so involved, I think it was when I took home a Paph. "Napa Valley" hybrid from Lowes. For one reason or another I was very taken with the plant and it was when I started doing research on orchids when my collection started to pile up. A lot of my favorites are Encyclias, Epidendrums, Paphiopedilums, or Dendrobiums, but being a newB there's still a lot of fascinating orchids I have yet to take home to appreciate.
Some that I do have: 4 young Vanda hybrids, enc tampensis, enc alata, epi magnoliae, burr. Jimbo, Paph "Napa Valley", Paph "Raisin Pie", two noid Dendrobiums-- Not a slow start!
I'm a long way from propagating, flasking & developing hybrids. I'm just a beginner who loves the process of learning.
Just thought I'd drop a message & say since I don't know where to begin.

Woohoo! Another Newbie. Caught the Orchid bug about a year ago too, although I don't think I will be propagating them.

[EDIT] Actually, here you go, if you have some time to check it out, that would be great.

Right in the middle of the state in Orlando. There's nothing like a good old Florida sunshower for the orchids, am I right?
