Cleveland, OH anyone?
Hi all! New member here from the Cleveland, OH area. Does anyone know of a good grower in the area? I used to go to Borlin Orchids but they've closed : (

Sorry I can't help with any growers in your area. Just wanted to say welcome though
Hopefully someone will come along soon who knows the area better. I think we are a bit quiteter then usual over the Christmas period.

Hi Ohorchid, I'm a transplant--lived in Cleveland for about twenty-five years and then moved to Columbus. I haven't found any good local growers, but order most of my orchids from Hausermann's in Chicago. Lately, I've been ordering quite a few from Norman's Orchids in California. They have an absolutely fabulous selection, but their main focus is on phals (thirty-some pages of different species and hybrids). It's a long trip, but they offer two day shipping at reasonable prices and their packaging is superb!
My only other source is local shows and the Columbus OS. If you find a good grower who is nearby, please pass on the info.. .

Thank you for the reply! I will take a look at those growers. I'm interested in acquiring some paphs and cats. I already have several phals and don't need anymore : ) It's time to branch out. Did you ever visit Borlin Orchids? They unfortunately went under

You could try Wayne Roberts (Roberts Flower Supply). Some town close to Cleveland, I can't remember which. He doesn't have a lot of plants in the greenhouse, but he does have some. He is more of a supply guy.
I got a lot of plants from Borlin when they closed. Still have a few of them.

I'll second Windswept... I have a few Zygos from them and they have all been fabulous.
As to other growers though, can't help you there as I'm from Pittsburgh, PA myself.
Welcome to OB though!
