Kia Ora from New Zealand
Hello everyone!
This is a big day for me. I had some beautiful Cymbidium orchids and my first Cattleya a few years back, but lost the lot in the course of relocating my home - long story, won't go there. Then life took over for awhile - but now I'd like to start again, and this looks like a great place for some friendship and advice. Many thanks,

Hi Patricia This is certainly a great place to meet and swap ideas and experiences! I love your country and have always wanted to visit - This is mainly due to one of my best friends living in Perth (W.Australia) and, as a result, I've never made it past that point!
Are you looking to start with Cyms and Catts again? or are you looking to try something else?

Hi Jenny - thank you! Well, right now I've bought a few things that caught my eye on our NZ auction site - a couple of Cyms, a Catt and a Dendrobium: all of them new plantlets. So the challenge now is going to be growing them on ... I've just added a photo album with some native NZ orchid photos. They are not brilliant shots - taken in the bush, days away from civilization - but thought they might be of interest.

Many thanks Connie - great hearing from you! My aunt lived in Boston and Marblehead for many years and I visited there for a few weeks in late 1983.
