Is anyone from Alabama?
Hi all, I am not new to the forum but I never introduced myself. My name is Katie, I am 27 and married. I am from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which is NW Alabama. I started my orchid addiction in early 2008. After buying some orchids and rigging up some lights and placing humidifiers around my orchid area (kitchen.See photos at the bottom of the screen). I realized I could not do this without an Orchidarium, so I purchased the "Maui" from their website. I had about 50 plants at one time. I really enjoyed watering and watching them grow. I then decided to go back to school, and I would not have time to have a full time job, and go to school full time, and do orchids. So I sent some of my orchids that were not happy with my conditions (which was alot of them) to a friend I met on here. I ended up with few orchids that could grow in my conditions. Then 'Life' kicked in and I was no longer able to care for them. Now I am not working so I have some time on my hands and have decided to get back into the game. I have one orchid now, its a Phal NOID. I am in the process of getting some orchids, so we will see how it goes
Are there any other people from Alabama here?

Hey There Sorry, I'm not from Alabama, but I'm looking forward to hearing about your collection as it grows I know what you mean though. I only have a small collection (about 20 or so orchids plus some lillies) which is enough to keep my occupied and able to give individual attention, but no so many I can't find time for them (in between finishing a PhD, lecturing, looking after family members etc etc etc!)

Hi Vicki! So nice to meet another Alabamaian. I have been to Cullman. My mother in law took me there to look at some covered bridges and Blount Co. We went to All Steak, they have the best Orange Rolls.
