Just introducing myself. I've recently got badly bitten by the orchid bug! I allready have 14 orchids collected witin the space of a year, 7 of them in the last month and I can't stop! (Don't worry, I have enough space to keep them all happy)
I live in south africa where there is a limited range of orchids available so I am always excited to track down interesting ones.
I'm still new to this and will probably need a lot of advice!

Ondontoglossum vexativum (smells like lemon)
Zygopetalum "Mackayi"
Miltassia Charles M. Fitch "sunday best"
Vanilla planifolia
Dendrobium noble
Dendrobium kingiarum
Dendrobium Akatuki x Orion
Miltonia spectabilis
and two Im not sure about. One is a "butterfly orchid" and the other is a yellow oncidium.
No disas yet!
I do have some pics, will post them soon!
Welcome to the board! I believe you are our first South African. Surely there most be some native orchids in Africa that have become available in the market?
