Default New to Orchid Board, advice on Neofinetia falcata

Hi everyone!

I've been steadily adding to my (and my mom's) orchid collection over the past few years. We have quite a number of Phals since that's what is mostly available at stores, but I'm starting to branch out more. I've always loved Paphs, and I've just discovered Neos. I have a weakness for pretty, mini specimens in general. If anyone can point me towards online shops with (hopefully cheaper) Neos, that would be great! Haha, the bank account is going to get hit hard by this hobby, pretty soon.

Welcome to the Orchid Board, Sorry can't point you to cheaper but it's best to set a budget up and buy slowly the ones you really want. Something like weekly, weakly. Enjoy!

Welcome to Orchid Board

I'm in Europe so also can't help on sellers in the USA. I know I've heard Andy's Orchids mentiond and Oak Hill Orchids, not sure if they do Neo's though, but I think members here like then as good sites for orchids in general.

Hi, Welcome to OB!!

Unfortunately as you'll find out, Neos (other than the basic form) are not the cheapest of orchids. A good source in the USA is New World Orchids. The prices vary on the number of growths and the variety. I've gotten Neos from them when they get to a show in Europe.

Another place to try is Neofinetia falcata/Japanese orchid/Samurai orchid/SEED ENGEI, which has some very nice plants from what I've read here!
