Hello, My name is Emilee. I am new to this website. I have basically had a green thumb as long as I can remember. I originally received an orchid as a gift, but quickly killed it, even after reading books (now I know better) by over watering. I recently purchased 2 "bag babies" from a box store. So far they are fairing well. There were four plants all together. I have lost 1. They are cayettas (Please forgive my misspellings). I also just purchased a phal timothy phalaenoposis that is in a 2 inch pot. My question is could I mount it like a stag fern?
Hello and welcome to the OB.
Is your phal Timothy Christopher? It should do fine mounted as long as you can provide the humidity and watering. (I'm really bad at remembering to water every day.)

Welcome to the Orchid Board. You'll probably need to use spag moss to do your mounting so be sure and read up on the types of mounts and what works best on the orchid board forums.. Usually you want to mount when new roots are just starting to form, what is the weather in your area, it is the growing season? Maybe you would do better to wait for Spring? Good Luck!
Thanks everyone. It is a phal timothy christopher. Also, when I stated that I wanted to know if it could be mounted like a stag fern, that's what i meant. I would like to use a stocking with moss around the roots to mount it to a board. I live very near New Orleans, La, so weather isn't really an issue. Also, yes, I meant cattleyas. I am horrible at remembering names, but I will try to do better.
