Hi from a new member of OB.....
I just registered a few moments ago, but I have been watching OB for about 4 months. I am new at growing orchids ( I only have phals from the big box stores )
I have just repotted several into bark after the blooms fell off. They were in the spag that they all seem to come in. They stayed wet for 3 or 4 weeks in the spag, and I was afraid the roots would rot, so I put them into bark.
Lots of wonderful help here on OB,,,THANKS......and HELLO,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Hope you enjoy it here and have lots of pictures! I bought a 'garden centre' (not an orchid centre) Phal once and that was packed in s/moss. I repotted it straight away, as I don't have the conditions here for that - I couldn't believe how much I took out! It seemed an impossible amount for such a tiny pot!
Happy growing

Welcome to Orchid Board
Such a drastic change from moss to bark may have caused the flowers to drop... but you did the right thing because in the long run it will do better for you. 3-4 weeks is far too long for it to be staying wet so moss was not right for you.
