Haha Im pretty sure you are right! My haraella retrocalla seems to be shooting out a flower stem. Either that or the root in growing towards the light lol. Im excited to get my first bloom! I'll post a picture of the "stem" later.

Thanks guys. I love my tank, and the frogs are super fun! Im in the middle of my 2nd viv, I'll post pics of it once it is completed. As of now I only have an Oncidium "little cherry" for orchids inside. I constructed a log covered in tropical moss, so I plan to experiment growing orchids on it once I get more.

And thanks...I actually already have the next meeting date saved in my phone I'd love to find a good local miniature hobbyist. Worst case, I'll visit my family down in calgary and take a detour to Paramount Orchids. They have a ton of stuff I want!

There is no reason you cant increase ventilation a little bit. I have kept dart frogs where there was a computer fan exchanging vivarium air with the outside air during the night time hours. You just need to tweak the amount of time you keep the fans blowing. I too got into growing orchids when I started to building vivariums. I now have a vivarium that is now officially a terrarium (due to absence of animals), and its all orchids.
I keep three Phal species ( parishii, lobbii, deliciosa) and tow hybrids (lovely kid, and mini mark). I have found mini mark to be a little sensitive to rot in the vivarium though, even with ventiliation.
Bulbophyllums love it wet, hot and bright. I would research those. The problem is that just some of them get too big.
