Moving from a lurker to introuctions - am I really addicted to orchids?
Talking Moving from a lurker to introuctions - am I really addicted to orchids?

Last count I have 45 (or so, if you count some of the kieko babies) assorted orchids, some catleas, phals, phrags, phaphs, etc, and I have started to use my mother's brita filter to filter tap water before I water the plants with it. I seem to be getting better at keeping them alive and my one phal has been blooming since the first week of february. I am seriously considering how to install a small green house in the back yard, instead of renovating my 40 year old kitchen, I really like it when I can get one of them to bloom. I have a spider orchid that I purchased several years ago in bloom, and it has a bloom shoot on it for the first time.... I'll put some pictures on, when I fiugre out how to down load from the camera, to the computer... I really enjoy reading about everyone's plants.

Aboard Mary, it's great that you have unlurked and opened your orchid doors here at the OB. Our community if full of info and s There is a nightly chat around 8 p.m. a different orchid topic nightly, not that we stay on task but it's fun. Have fun here, grab a chair, keyboard and peck away
