Hi everyone! My name is Gina and my fiance's name is Mike. We have been growing orchids for a little over a year now. We have approximately six Vandas, eight Phalaenopsis, one Grammatophyllum, two Dendrobiums, and two Oncidiums. I never knew that orchids could be such an addiction. Mike and I have been going to a couple orchid shows these past few weeks, and we keep telling ourselves no more, but we always come home with several. I look forward to gaining knowledge from this site. Here are some pictures I just took of my Phalaenopsis Baldan's Kaleidoscope.

Tell me. Are you really gifted in plants or did you have to sell your soul to grow those?

Nice array.

Hi Gina Welcome to Orchidboard!
You and I are practically neighbors! I'm about an hour north of you in Spring Hill...if you're ever going to be up this way on the 3rd Saturday of the month, you could come by one of our club meetings

Sounds like you've got a great collection growing...and your Baldan's Kaleidoscope is WOW!!!!
Are you growing them all outdoors?

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask

Welcome! I'm in SW Florida. I am fairly new to growing orchids. Your phal is amazing.

Thanks for all the compliments. I love my phal. I have a bunch more that I just bought this past weekend at a blowout sale. We grow all of our orchids outside. The front of our house faces the west and has great coverage from direct sunlight so we keep all of our phal.'s and den.'s there. Our vanda's, gram., and onc. we keep out in the backyard under a large oak tree. I am very new to growing orchids so I am very happy with my Kaleidoscope. I have been told by several other people on another board that we should have it judged, but I know nothing about that.
