Hi from Jacksonville Fla
Just a note to say hello. My handle is "orchids3" but it should be more like 3000. My favorite is the cymbidium and I am very interested in growing Warm as it is here. Am having some real success. Will read more of what everyone has to say - need to go water my plants now.
Have a nice day everyone.

Hi there orchids3,
Welcome to the Orchid Board! So is 3000 the number of plants you have? You must be growing in a greenhouse and somewhere it is warm. Lucky you!

Yes, around 3000 - 1500 are cymbidiums which stay in an outside shade area. I also have a 20 X 40 greenhouse. I am retired and take a vacation everyday in my back yeard. My working life was in aviation - one of the "Road Worriors" of that industry with constant travel. Staying home and taking care of my plants is great.

That sounds awesome! I hope to be able to do the same when my time comes, if it comes(the way the world is and all).
