Hi Jason and to OB.

You'll find lots of information here to help you. There are several Orchid Societies here in South Fl. and Orchid Shows that are really great

Thanks for making me feel so welcome
So Keikis are baby orchids? Or just Newly branched?
I'll try to get some pictures of what I have soon. Nothing is in bloom at the moment, but I think I do see a spike coming in on one of them..
I started with 2 Phals a few years back, then grabbed another one up in Central Florida.. While at the Delray Affair, we bought an Oncidium and a Dendrobium.. And just recently I have a friend that has a bunch of those Encyclia Tampensis growing on his front porch which he gladly shared with me. The Encyclia has a few bulbs and looks healthy. I just potted it with Better-Gro "Special Orchid Mix" with the bulbs just above the media. And even more recently I discovered another orchid on a fallen tree in the back yard that was about to be trashed. It had red and yellow blooms, flowers are maybe 3/4 of an inch in clusters of about 15 or so? I saved it and put it in a mix of the bark it was clinging on to, this is the one that seems to be putting off a spike right now. Does that sound familiar to anyone the red/yellow flowers, it has tall stalks and it seemed to be 3-4 different plants than just one but they were all clumped together..

Sound like a CTNA to me. I have 2 in bloom now here is a picture. It is much redder than the picture. Let me know and post a picture when you can.
