Im new. be gentle.
Hey everybody! Little bit about me. My name is Adam, Im 27, I live in San Francisco and I am a plant freak, but more specifically an Orchid freak. I have been growing exotic plants for the better part of a decade, but only recently really got into orchids. I used to collect carnivorous plants (around 30 some odd species) and was a member of the BACPS and the ICPS. At one point a couple of years ago I decided to get an orchid...you know....for giggles. I acquired a bare root Sedirea japonica, and the rest, as they say, is history. I now, in my tiny apartment, have about 60 or so species and hybrids (a drop in the bucket compared to many of you, but I have very limited space) orchids, and about 120 plants in general. I tend to focus mostly on miniature monopodial highland species, but Im not picky. Word got out at work that I was "the orchid guy" and now every couple of months Ill find an orchid on-top of my locker, begging for help.
