Pac 8 Orchids (by Culver City on Overland Ave. going south from the 10 Fwy West).
Norman's Orchids (they might be nice if you tell them you're from Taiwan, they're Taiwanese - Monteclair, CA near Chino, past Diamond Bar).
If you have a chance to go down to Encinitas, CA (on the way to San Diego, on the 5 Fwy South), there's Andy's Orchids. Gotta make an appointment first.
If you want to travel up north about a couple hours to Santa Barbara, there's Santa Barbara Orchid Estate. Cal Orchids is also nearby Santa Barbara. On the way up to Santa Barbara there is another orchid nursery next to the 101 Fwy North (it's huge, you can't miss it, there's a big sign that says "Orchids").

Actually, Andy's Orchids, Santa Barbara Orchid Estate, Cal Orchids, and Norman's Orchids are pretty far from where I live.
Andy's is about a 2 to 3 hr drive.
SBOE is about a 2 hr drive without traffic. Double that time if traffic is bad. I would imagine Cal Orchid is roughly the same time frame.
Norman's is about 45 min away, again without traffic.
Even Pac 8 is not that close. It's about a 30 to 40 min drive from here.
CA is huge, and LA County is gigantic. Traffic sucks bad.
