Hi, all you Florida guys how about joining the Florida Orchid Lovers social group. Help answer some questions about hurricane prep, fungus, moisture meters, shadehouses. Sure could use your help and experience.

looks great. Can you post also photos of the whole plants, the area where you grow them, the garden etc! Do you grow them all outdoors or also inside your home? Are orchids expensive in Cuba?

All outdoors! I´ll post som pics form the area where I grow them! There´s not market for orchids here!

I just got into growing hot chile peppers as well! bought some heirloom plants at the farmers market and also bought habaneros/ scotch bonnets imported from Jamaica, Trinidad, Dominican Republic at a West Indian market here. Do you grow any other stuff? Any Mango trees? send photos!

Last year flew for a week in the Jamaican countryside and the plane flew over Cuba. Looked beautifil.
In September 2008 I was in Jacmel, Haiti... not far from Guantanamo Cuba. Many Cuban doctors were in Haiti helping the locals as in Haiti there is no health care for the majority of people that can't afford it.
A high school friend moved to Jamaica from Italy 15 years ago, he had a motorbike accident and the doctor that fixed his bones was Cuban and very good!

We are everywhere. But I miss my precious little island. I know it's not what it once was but anything can be rebuilt, and it's still beautiful to me. Hopefully one day I will go visit. God bless you my friend

Our doctors are great professionals! I grow a lot of fruit trees but now I´m into orchids almost all the time! They put a spell on me!! See you!!
