Heck, you are in prime orchid growing territory. Just read, research, ask questions and then make the jump- buy!
There are numerous growers in Homestead, and the Redlands area is a great place to hunt down the beautiful babies too.
I was there early this past winter and bought several great plants from Fuchs (R.F. Orchids) that with care, made it through this very cold winter.
