Hi,

I am a new member from london, UK. I have been growing orchids when I was a teenager, and had to stop after University due to lack of space. In the last 5 years I started growing orchids in a small greenhouse; mainly intermediate to warm growing plants.

I have an interest in lots of different types of orchids, but have a hot spot for Renantheras, Vandas and Schomburgkia: although I had to scale down on these due to lack of space. I also like Angraecum, Catasinae and all sorts of small and unusual plants.

Looking forward to be part of the forums.

Welcome, Lars from another Brit. There are several of us on this super site so you will get lots of interaction. If you look at the British Orchid Council website British Orchid Council (a Registered Charity). , it will tell you where your nearest Society is......unless you know already.

Indeed,

This was the first forum i joined (out of the two) and i have found the people here really helpful and friendly. There is a lady called RosieC who is based in the uk and is usually very active and helpful.

I must admit some of the advice is obviously based for US climate/shops etc but there is a wealth of knowledge here too.
