Hello, David! I am new to orchids and new to Orchid Board. I was so surprised to see a message from Alsace the first time I logged in!

I visited Alsace - the most beautiful and charming region!!! - in the summer of 2006. I still have some wonderful Vinaigre de Reims au jus de framboise. I just wanted to say hello. Your orchid collection sounds spectacular! Kristin

Pfff .... absolutely nothing

The nearest is Orchidarium in Prangins near Geneva.
There's some in Germany but I don't know them very well.

yeah.. that's teh thing around here... for rupiculous Laelias, there is a good nursery in Germany near Mannheim/Ludwigshafen... for Paphiopedilum (in case you like them) there is a good one in Switzerland (near Basel) but you would have the problem bringing them through the customs (not the swiss but the french one is the PitA here) otherwise... internet shopping
