I've only just gotten into orchid growing too, and like you I've wanted to since I was a kid but was told that they were close to impossible to grow. This board was a place were I found it clear that that isn't the case at all. There are some that are more difficult than others, but I think you will be able to find that you can grow more than you think you can...especially with the help of the friendly people here.
