Newbie first post
Hi folks, I have just registered and I am looking forward to start a new hobby. I am sure that from time to time I will need assistance and I think this the best place to learn how to care for the mystic orchid.

Thanks for the warm welcome, I am negotiating the sale of my first choice of plants. I have seen some Ludisia; the foliage looks very good and I believe they can be treated just like any house plant so I intend to start with something simple before getting involved with the more exotic species. Harry.

Hi Harry - I'm sure you will enjoy OB and learn a lot here - I sure do and have 
I myself have had difficulty growing some of the supposedly 'simple' orchids, but others do ok for me - so even if you have trouble with something that has been called easy to grow, don't be afraid to try something else!
