Jeffery, reverse osmosis water for sure is the best for orchids but can work for small collection and you need a special fertilizer specially design for reverse osmosis water, and University of Michigan came with such a fertilizer i you can buy it.I have 450 orchids and use reverse osmosis water only for orchids which can't stand salt in the water.

ewcia1028, you're definitely welcome to follow me around on Friday! If I get there early enough I might try and go directly to SBOE before the show opens at 9am. I love their $7.50 specials. Last time on their $7.50 table they had Leochilus carinatus with small keikis on the old spikes.

Calros,I didn't know you like what I like, like those specials at SBOE.I always check what they have interesting on specials for $7.50.Last June I bought two Vanda's and something else but those orchids are so small that it is going to take them a long time to bloom, but still it is tempting when they sell those specials and I always like somethingI see if I'll be able to go there so early.

This year Cali takes the cake with oranges, we had a nasty freeze here. But we'll be back in the competition next year!
