If it is getting too much light, direct sunlight, it will get sunburn in a few hours. I was told to think of a baby's skin, if a baby would get sunburn, so will your phal.
You probably would not notice too little sun at this time as this is not the time of year for a lot of new root / leaf growth. I think the phals will be OK under your African Violet conditions until spring when you can move them outdoors.
