When I get there Friday morning I will be very curious what the vendors already sold Thursday afternoon. My favorite are the "overgrown specials" that I can divide and share with my friends.

Here is Floralia's list of orchids. If anything looks tempting send me a private message. Right now we will receive a 20% discount but Floralia charges $1 per plant for pre-ordered plants. I'm still waiting on a few more friends to select some orchids so there is a small possibility we might qualify for the 30% discount rate.

Awesome! I added your orchids to the list and sent you an e-mail. We only need a mere $350 more to qualify for the 30% discount! My rich Dr. friend is planning on making her selection...if we get pretty close I'll order some extras and sell them at cost at my society's next meeting.

So far not a single member from my society has selected any orchids. It was pretty much the same with the last group purchase I organized for Oakhill...but when I brought in the extra orchids to the society meeting, lots of society members purchased the extras and only a few were left over. I guess they prefer purchasing the orchids in person rather than ordering via the internet.

The list with the Angraecum and Aerangis is from Oak Hill Gardens...an orchid nursery in Illinois. They have quite a large selection of species and low wholesale prices if you purchase 5 of one species.

This is the second time I've organized a group purchase. There aren't too many orchid nurseries that offer decent wholesale pricing for species. Well...at least that I know of. If enough people express interest for a particular nursery then I'll do it again next year...or before

Unfortunately, I don't think they make it this far west. Hopefully they will though in the future.
